The sages teach that “Elul” is an acronym for the verse in Song of Songs: “I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine.”
The itinerary was prepared, locations were secured, families signed up, and everything was ready to go. There was just one final step: They wanted the Rebbe's blessing.
Throughout the month of Elul, the Jewish people has a collective task: to prepare itself to be
inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year.

and even before, there began to take form in my mind a picture of the future
redemption--the redemption of Israel from its last exile, a redemption such as
